Bat Tube Sizes

• 0.5″ ID x 2.5″ OD was formerly called our BLUE tube
• 0.65″ ID x 2.75″ OD was formerly called our RED tube

Size Variances

• Each size has a 0.25″ variance.  We have split the difference and requested the above dimensions as the minimums.  So, the final products may be bigger, but they should ideally never be smaller than 0.5″ x 2.5″.  Please expect a small margin of error.  But rest assured that these tubes should consistently pass the Belegarth requirement for a minimum 2.5″ outer diameter.

Exclusivity

• These tubes are custom-made for Gorg the Blacksmith to serve the foam-fighting community.  The slit is essential to ensure a consistent id/od throughout the entire 24″ length.  Whether you choose the durable Volara or ultralight Spectral foams, you will get a consistent quality tube on par with the gorg brand.

Spectral Foam

Fair warning is fair play. This product is towards the late stages of play testing. It started as a prototype on blue tubes in 2025 and red tubes in early 2026.  We are really excited to share our newest foam finding with LARP DIYers. There is an inherent risk in products like this regarding durability. But we have been using the 2.5″ spectral tube on other products to yield great results. We would love to hear your feedback on how both Spectral Bat tubes perform.  We suggest the 2.65″ tube only for use on ultralight type cores.
