The blue tube is the safest simplest way to build a LARP boffer weapon. These tubes are made in the USA, cut from the finest buns of 2lb Volara foam on a special (and expensive) machine. The cutting tool precisely and consistently centers the hole so that there is always sufficient padding on the each side of the omni striking surface. The OD is slightly greater than the minimum 2.5″ required by most battle games. The ID is just right for .505 or .524 kitespar. It also fits 1/2″ fiberglass rods nicely for a more economical build.
Blue Tube Compatibility
The blue tube is a great reblade for these stock gorgtech foam weapons: The secret bat uses the blue tube for the top six inches. The other listed omnis ship out of the gorg shop standard with volara blue tubes as the original striking surface.

Blue Tube Upgrades
Consider picking up a replacement cover or some adhesive cloth tape to help you finish off your repairs. We also recommend tyvek tape down the striking surface to add extra life to this quality foam.

Ordered this after blowing out the tip of my Secret Bat. Made assembly a breeze. The hole was perfectly routed to fit the core and the foam lined up perfectly with what still usable striking surface I had. Very easy to repair and even had some left over to build a whole other bat. Even came with a little square of stab tip. Grade A product manufactured by a grade A crew.
